Well, this should wipe off that famous smile of his! According to AP news tiger woods will
pay wife Elin Nordegren $750 million in their divorce settlement! Good for you Elin!

This will be the most expensive divorce ever in history. After proven by Elin’s legal team that
the once beloved golf star was worth more than $1 billion, the ex model ended up with about
double the amount she previously expected.

As reported by the British tabloid The Sun, in addition the settlement included several
addendums, mainly concerning their children, one of them being tiger not being allowed
to introduce any of his future girlfriends to their children unless he marries her.

Elin also gets full custody of the kids, though they will still share legal custody.
In exchange tiger will receive his ex wife’s silence, meaning zero interviews or book
deals otherwise she gets nothing.

In all this the one positive thing (however costly it may have been) that tiger has
managed to accomplish is what most husbands failed to do throughout history mainly
having their wives to shut the hell up! :)

Tiger to break silence

Reportedly on Friday, February 19th at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort & Spa the media from
around the world will be listening to what Golf’s Mr. (ex) picture perfect will have to say
for himself. About 300 journalists are expected to show up to hear his apology (i guess) and
what the future holds for him.

Friday’s statement by Woods at the Clubhouse is drawing loads of criticism for being a highly orchestrated, staged event. The limited number of press who can go inside the Clubhouse will be there by invitation only and no one is allowed to ask questions. Tonight, the Golf Writers Association of America, which was invited to be present when Woods speaks, announced it will boycott his speech entirely… striking back against the extremely controlled environment surrounding the golf star’s event. The three wire reporters who will be in the room with Woods represent the Associated Press, Reuters and Bloomberg

Who knows, maybe he’ll reveal that he finally accepted that 5 million $ deal from Ashley
Madison to be their spokesperson or he is just going to endorse some of the products (see below) that came to be thanks to his actions. :)

Elin Woods Settlement

December 3, 2009 by Golforbis Admin
Filed under Celebrities, Latest News, Tiger Woods

tiger_elinElin and Tiger Woods had a prenuptual agreement, as expected. The couple is undergoing marital counseling, as you’d also expect. And now The Daily Beast is reporting that Elin Woods is renegotiating that prenup to get an immediate $5 million payout from her husband and as much as $55 million more to stay with him for two more years.

The initial prenup was worth $20 million after 10 years of marriage. However, the Chicago Sun-Times’ Bill Zwecker has reported that Elin Woods will receive an immediate payment “into an account she alone controls,” and that the 10-year timeframe — which began when they married in 2004 — has been shortened and the value increased “substantially.”

The Daily Beast quotes “a lawyer familiar with the couple’s negotiations” in reporting that the term of the prenup has been shortened to seven years, and that a series of staggered payments could increase the total value to $75 million.

But apparently there’s also a behavioral component to all this: Elin Woods must “be a dutiful wife in showing up with him at social events and in public as if they were still the perfect couple, and sign a nondisclosure form that will prevent her from ever telling her story.”

It’s important to note that to date, there’s no concrete evidence that Elin Woods has ever been anything but the perfectly dutiful golf wife. I’m sure the Woodses would like nothing more than to portray domestic calm to the world, and Elin Woods now apparently has several million more reasons to do just that.

After learning about Elin’s beautiful (twin :) !) sister Josephine Nordegren’s existence, one does have to wonder why he just didn’t try to keep his desire to spice up his sex life in the family?!

Tiger Woods accident (update)

November 28, 2009 by Roland

Well, the good news is that Tiger is ok. The bad news (for him) is that (alleged) scandal that emerged.
The latest information in the “Tiger Woods wife golf club scandal” has 34-year-old New Yorker Rachel Uchitel telling the New York Post she was not involved in an affair with Woods. She’s also threatened to sue the National Enquirer, which alleged that the affair was real. That story ignited the alleged heated discussion between Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren, who according to TMZ actually struck Woods with a golf club and didn’t rescue him with it.

The original story told to the Windemere (Florida) Police Department was that Woods crashed his SUV into a hydrant and then a tree and Elin Nordegren used a golf club to break a window and free him from the vehicle. But  Elin Nordegren told a different story to the Florida Highway Patrol. That story has not been made public as of this writing. But the other story made public is one nightclub executive Rachel Uchitel is fighting.

A Quiet Day Of Practice At Augusta National

April 7, 2009 by Roland
Filed under Latest News, Tiger Woods

AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — Augusta National looked like most other private clubs on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

But most clubs don’t get this kind of star power.

Tiger Woods, sporting a goatee, was on the course for the first time since his runner-up finish last year at the Masters, playing nine holes and hitting 3-wood on the 10th hole before walking over to a sandwich stand that catered to players and guests.

Guests?

That’s right. On the day before practice rounds begin for the season’s first major, guests are allowed to play on the hallowed and supremely manicured grounds of Augusta National.

Strangely enough, members are not allowed to bring a guest on this day. Only former Masters champions have that privilege.

That explains why Mark O’Meara was playing with his caddie, why Mike Weir teed off with his brother, and why Bernhard Langer had the ultimate family outing – he played with his daughter, while son Stefan caddied for him.

Woods played No. 10, then hopped over to the 18th and called it a day.

He has not won the Masters since 2005, and while that might not seem like an eternity to players like Greg Norman and Ernie Els – who have never won at Augusta National – if the world’s No. 1 fails to win this week, it will be the longest he has gone without wearing a green jacket anywhere but the Champions Dinner.

Woods is coming off a victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and again is a strong favorite at the Masters.

But he has company in that category.

Phil Mickelson missed the cut in the wind-blown Shell Houston Open, which may have been just as well. He got in a few days of competition and arrived at the Masters a day earlier than expected, allowing him to play nine holes in the group behind Woods. Mickelson already has won twice this year, and he can go to No. 1 in the world by winning the Masters.

Geoff Ogilvy also has won twice this year, while Padraig Harrington will try to join Woods and Ben Hogan as the only players to win three straight majors in the modern era.

Who doesn’t have a chance this week?

Look no further than a couple of Masters champions who also played Sunday on a calm, cloudy afternoon – Charles Coody and Tommy Aaron. They won their green jackets before half of the field was even born.

And by the sound of it, Alvaro Quiros doesn’t like his chances, either.

But give the personable Spaniard some time. He had never even seen Augusta National – in person or on television – until he arrived Sunday and played nine holes with Luke Donald.

Quiros, whose reputation as a big hitter is growing quickly, is the son of a gardener from the famed “Costa Del Sol” just down the road from Valderrama. They didn’t have enough money to pay for the satellite feed required to watch the Masters, so his only visual of the Augusta National came from a DVD on Seve Ballesteros. Those highlights only featured the 15th, 16th and 18th holes.

Quiros had just settled into a patio chair to order lunch when Donald mentioned that the Spaniard hit wedge into the 445-yard first hole, with the first 300 yards uphill.

So what did he think of the front nine?

“Too much,” Quiros said. “Some of the shots? Impossible.”

Donald grinned, having been there before. The Englishman has moderate length, at best, yet tied for third in 2005. Quiros needs a crash course on Augusta National, and he plans to play Monday with two-time winner Jose Maria Olazabal and Miguel Angel Jimenez.

Quiros also needs experience ordering food.

“Are the salads big?” he asked. The waiter concurred, and Quiros settled on a Caesar chicken salad.

But he wasn’t finished.

“I have to asked another question. What about the all-beef hot dog? Is that big?” he said. And when the waiter gave that a thumbs-up, Quiros ordered them both.

Lunch at Augusta National, much like the atmosphere on Sunday, felt like a picnic. Y.E. Yang sat down with his family, while British Amateur Reinier Saxton finished lunch and joined U.S. Amateur champion Danny Lee on the putting green.

Another newcomer to the Masters was Soren Kjeldsen, who prepared to play a practice round by himself. When he arrived on the tee, someone else was ready to tee off, so brief introductions were in order.

“Hi, Ray Floyd,” said the two-time Masters champion. “Would you mind if my son and I joined you?”

Kjeldsen removed his hat to shake hands and smiled.

Odds are, the Dane was not aware of this Masters tradition, that on the Sunday before one of the biggest tournaments in golf, a past champion could play with his son. Stranger still must have been what he saw next.

Floyd and his son were riding in a cart.

Tiger (of course) Has Done It Again!

March 29, 2009 by Roland

alg_tiger-woods

With those familiar back-nine heroics and a putt most everyone knew he was going to make, Woods holed a 15-footer for birdie to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard for his first victory since returning from knee surgery.

Woods closed with a 3-under 67 for a one-shot victory over hard-luck Sean O’Hair, matching his largest comeback on the PGA Tour.

“It feels good to be back in contention, to feel the rush,” Woods said. “It’s been awhile, but God, it felt good.”

Just like last year, when Woods made a 25-foot birdie on the final hole at Bay Hill for a one-shot victory, he delivered a high-charged celebration. Instead of slamming his cap to the ground, he turned and ran into the arms of his caddie, who lifted him off his feet.

Then came the meeting with the tournament host.

“What was it I told you last year?” Palmer said with a wide grin.

Palmer has seen enough of Woods to know what to expect. Woods won at Bay Hill for the sixth time, the third PGA TOUR event he has won at least that often.

This one was special.

Woods had not been atop the leaderboard since he won the U.S. Open in a 19-hole playoff last June. He had reconstructive surgery on his left knee a week later, and missed the next eight months.
